This weekend we decided to try out a few bike trails. On Saturday we did the Rocky Point to Old Orchard trail (6 KM), we've done this one so many times it just didn't seem long enough. So, Nick did a little research and found a new trail for us to try. Seymour Valley Trail was where we were headed. The trail boasts easy riding for bikes and in-line skates and is a mere 10 km there and 10 km back. I wasn't sure how the boys would fare (Nick included). LOL. But we made it all the way there and back, it was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

Here we are at the beginning of the trail, we don't know what we're getting ourselves into!!

A stump on the trail that looked like a face.

It took us about an hour to get through the first 10km at the end was the river where we took out our luch for a little picnic.

Kids checking out the river.
Saylor fell into the river...two times!

The boys

Butterfly Garden
Nick and Carter headed down to the Butterfly Garden, 300 meters off the trail to see if they could spot any butterflies. This is the only one they saw, it was on the board which welcomed them to the gardens. Better luck next time guys!

Carter did awesome on the trails!

Nick, trying to be all creative and take a picture of himself while he was biking. He almost bit it all in the name of art.

We are finally done the trail! Saylor is still fast asleep, she nodded off somewhere between the 5KM and 4Km mark.

Nick and Tina Celebrate 3 years of Marriage!
Nick and I headed to the Cannery for an anniversary dinner, we ate pretty much every kind of seafood dish they had to offer. I left there feeling like I had an Aquarium in my belly! We went out tot he dock and took a few pictures before we went to the casino to test our luck at some gambling.

Lucas helped Nick pick out a card for me, when I openned it up it started playing "Wild Thing", it was pretty funny!

Pictures on the dock.

Westbank
On the way homefrom Vernon we stooped in to see the McGrath's and Bailies. They were having a Canada Day BBQ and we got to join them!

Mini-Putt at Dutch's Campground
Nick took first place, Hannah in Second, Lucas in third and Carter took his time...

Trying to cool off in the creek!

The kids and I enjoyed a few hours at the beach while Nick was doing some male bonding with some members of the ball team.
