MY 30th BIRTHDAY
Nick planned for months (so I've heard) with e-vites and phone calls he pulled together a fantastic party! Sarah showed up at our place on Thursday night so we could do some 80's shopping on Friday. We got a few essential items for our costumes and then we were headed to The River Rock! My Grandma and Greg showed up at the hotel so we had dinner and did a little gambling. On Saturday Sarah and I got pedicures and we all got dressed and went to dinner at the Macaroni Grill. We were joined by Bobbi and Vince, Leann Carrie and Steve, Heidi and David, my Aunty Laura and Uncle Stuart. Dinner was amazing!! Way too much food!
Steve got us a limo and we took a little tour around Vancouver before we headed back to the River Rock where we got ready....80's style! Nick had his tapered LEVI 512's and fanny pack. Sarah had her leg warmers and mesh gloves, and I had my painted on gold pants and teased bangs!
Nick rented a room for us to have a few drinks, nibble some food and do a whole lotta dancing!
There was some karaoke (by Vince), a foot loose line, presents, cake and more gambling!
I had a great night and it's not so bad being 30!

My Grandma showed up the the hotel on Friday night, she drove from Alberta by herself to come and surprise me! Love you G!

Nick did an awesome job planning my birthday party, I was very impressed with all the thought and surprises he put into it! Thanks to Leann and Sarah as well for helping Nick out! Love you all!!

I almost got a handful of Vince at dinner, Nick said I was giving him too much credit with my hand being open that much...how would Nick know??

Greg showed up at our hotel room on Friday night, I was very surprised to see him!! He stayed the whole weekend and even bought a fake mustache so he could dress up like Magnum P.I!!

Cultus Lake
We packed up and took a day trip out to Cultus Lake and hit the water slides.

The kids were being accustomed to staying in hotels, they think a holiday means sleeping in a pullout couch, a swimming pool and unlimited towels.

Headed back home
The boys started to get a little homesick (Nick included). It's been 3 weeks since the boys left and they were definitely ready to be back at home. We stopped at our favorite little hotel in Valemount before our vacation ended.

All of our friends and family are saying that Saylor is looking more like Carter than Lucas now. I think it's because she has some hair and she gives us the same kind of attitude!
