This weekend I got to travel to APEX mountain with my women's hockey team, the Raging Daisies, for a tournament. Our first game was Friday night, it was -20 and we were not prepared for our first outdoor game! We lost to a Seattle team 6-2 but were not to be deterred!
Saturday morning I got to go out boarding with a few of the other girls before our 2pm game. We won our 2nd game 7-1 against the Vixens. We took a break from hockey and went tubing for an hour before our third game which we won 8-0 against the Raging Beavers.
We all got our cowgirl hats on and went out to celebrate our two wins. We got back to the condo around 3am and were back on the rink by 9am Sunday. Surprisingly we won that game too against a familiar team which put us in the final against the Seattle team at 1pm. To our shock and amazement we kind of kicked their butts! We won 4-2 and became the 7th Annual APEX Wimmin's Champions!!
